Allen Parks and Recreation has officially opened registration for its full slate of fall activities, running from September 1 through the end of December. The upcoming season features free family-friendly festivals, youth seasonal camps, and competitive adult sports leagues.

Seasonal Highlights and Community Events

The popular Allen Cottage Farmers Market returns this autumn, taking over Allen Heritage Park from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the first and third Saturdays of each month from September through November. Attendees can browse a variety of offerings from local farmers, makers, and artisans.

The city’s seasonal lineup also includes several landmark annual gatherings:

  • Heritage Haunt: October 2
  • Allen Fall Fest: October 10
  • Holly Jolly 5K and Fun Run: December 5

Adult Sports Leagues and Youth Seasonal Camps

Local athletes looking to stay active this fall can sign up for the city’s Adult Autumn Leagues. Registration remains open through Monday, August 17, with competition running from September 8 through November 21. Leagues are available for basketball, kickball, softball, and volleyball. Participants may register as complete teams or as individual free agents.

For children, Allen Parks and Recreation offers specialized camps during Fall Break, Thanksgiving Break, and Winter Break, with options tailored toward arts, crafts, and athletics.

“Your next favorite class, event or family tradition could be just a page away,” city officials stated on the municipal website. “Browse the guide, register today and get ready for a season full of memorable experiences with Allen Parks and Recreation.”
