Frisco 2026 Election Results: Mayoral Race Heads to Runoff

Unofficial results from the May 2, 2026, elections in Frisco show a competitive mayoral race heading to a runoff, while several City Council and Frisco ISD seats have clear winners.
Mayoral Race: No Majority, Runoff Confirmed
No candidate secured more than 50% of the vote, triggering a runoff election between the top two finishers.
- Mark Hill led the race with 34.64% (8,705 votes)
- Rod Vilhauer followed with 31.42% (7,895 votes)
- Shona Sowell received 21.07% (5,294 votes)
- John Keating, a former City Council member, earned 12.87% (3,234 votes)
Hill and Vilhauer will now compete in a runoff to determine Frisco’s next mayor.

Incumbent Laura Rummel secured reelection with a strong majority:
- Laura Rummel: 66.18% (16,348 votes)
- Vijay Karthik: 24.10% (5,954 votes)
- Sreekanth Reddy: 9.72% (2,402 votes)
Place 6
Brittany Colberg won the seat outright:
- Brittany Colberg: 56.92% (13,838 votes)
- Matt Chalmers: 19.21% (4,671 votes)
- Sai Krishnarajanagar: 15.60% (3,793 votes)
- Jerry Spencer: 8.27% (2,010 votes)
Frisco ISD Trustee Results
Place 4
Incumbent Dynette Davis retained her seat:
- Dynette Davis: 66.61% (15,212 votes)
- Muni Janagarajan: 33.38% (7,623 votes)
Place 5
Misty Wamhoff emerged victorious:
- Misty Wamhoff: 56.02% (12,856 votes)
- Sree Mouli Majji: 27.02% (6,201 votes)
- Babu Venkat: 16.95% (3,889 votes)
