After winning the toss, Rajshahi Royals chose to bat first and posted an imposing 196/5 in their allotted 20 overs, thanks to a magnificent century from captain Tanvir Ullah.
The Royals started steadily with Ghalib contributing 20 runs before falling to Dhaka captain Md Abdul Kayum Didar. Opener Saif Gafur added 26, but it was Tanvir Ullah who stole the spotlight, smashing a superb 100 off just 54 balls, including 8 fours and 6 sixes. Hasan Tanvi chipped in with 16 as Rajshahi finished with a challenging total.
For Dhaka Nawabs, skipper Md Abdul Kayum Didar led from the front with the ball, claiming 2 wickets for 41 runs, while Mohaimanul Islam picked up one wicket.
In reply, Dhaka Nawabs were under early pressure after losing two quick wickets and slipping to 26/2. However, wicketkeeper-batsman Tanvir Ahmed Tanu turned the match around with a breathtaking innings of 98 off only 45 deliveries, striking 4 fours and 9 sixes. He found excellent support from M Rahaman, who scored a quickfire 37 off 22 balls, as the pair built a match-winning partnership.
Although Tanu narrowly missed out on a deserved century, captain Md Abdul Kayum Didar remained composed at the finish, scoring an unbeaten 21 off 16 balls to guide Dhaka Nawabs to 201/5 in 18.1 overs, sealing victory with 11 balls to spare.
Among the Rajshahi bowlers, Saif Gafur was the most economical, returning figures of 1/21 from his four overs, but the rest of the attack struggled to contain the Nawabs’ aggressive batting.
