Candidate filing has officially closed for the upcoming Allen ISD board of trustees election, and two incumbents are set to run unopposed for their seats.Two positions on the Allen ISD board will appear on the May ballot: Place 6 and Place 7. A district official confirmed that the filing deadline ended at 5 p.m. Feb. 13.

According to Allen ISD’s website, Board President Polly Montgomery, who currently represents Place 6, filed for re-election to retain her seat. Board Vice President Bill Parker, who holds Place 7, also filed to run again.Allen ISD trustee candidates are elected at-large and serve three-year terms. The two seats up for election were last on the ballot in 2023.

Key Election Dates

Election Day is scheduled for May 2, according to the Texas Secretary of State. Early voting will run from April 20 through April 28, and the last day to register to vote is April 2.
