Four North Texas Establishments Named Among the Nation’s Top Hotel Restaurants

A new national ranking highlights the rising prominence of the Dallas-Fort Worth dining scene, naming four North Texas eateries among the top 100 hotel restaurants in the United States. The list, compiled by online reservation platform OpenTable, highlights a shifting trend where dining options increasingly dictate travel choices rather than serving as mere amenities.

According to a mid-2026 OpenTable survey of 1,500 U.S. residents, 60% of travelers booked a specific hotel primarily because of its culinary offerings. Furthermore, 48% of respondents reported spending more time planning their dining agendas than any other aspect of their trips.

The Top North Texas Selections

The four celebrated local establishments span three separate Metroplex cities and attract both out-of-town travelers and neighborhood residents:

  • 97 West Kitchen & Bar: Located within the Hotel Drover in the historic Fort Worth Stockyards.
  • Sister: A popular Italian-inspired venue on Greenville Avenue in Dallas, situated beneath Casa Duro, an intimate boutique property featuring just three suites.
  • Stillwell’s: A premier steakhouse operating inside the Harwood District’s Hôtel Swexan in Dallas.
  • Trick Rider: A signature steakhouse located at the new Omni PGA Frisco Resort.

Demonstrating their broader industry appeal, three of the four featured hotels previously secured a prestigious Michelin Key in 2025, an honor celebrating exceptional lodging experiences.

Notable Omissions and Elite Context

The regional selections come amid a highly competitive local luxury dining landscape. Several prominent, Michelin-recommended establishments attached to Dallas hotels did not make the list, including Monarch, Crown Block, the historic Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek, and Fearing’s at the Ritz-Carlton—the latter of which appeared on the publication’s previous annual ranking.

Nationally, the top 100 list places the North Texas winners alongside some of the country’s most celebrated culinary institutions. These include the three-Michelin-star SingleThread Restaurant & Inn in California, Spago at the Four Seasons in Hawaii, and the iconic Palm Court at New York City’s Plaza Hotel.
