H-E-B is continuing its expansion across North Texas with the opening of a new store in Euless on Wednesday, marking one of the company’s most centrally located locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The new store sits near State Highway 121, west of DFW International Airport and on the eastern side of Tarrant County. The site is expected to employ around 600 workers and was built on land purchased by the grocery chain more than a decade ago.

Store Features Expanded Ready-to-Eat Food Options

The Euless location introduces many of the familiar features found at other H-E-B stores while placing greater emphasis on prepared meals and hot food offerings.

According to Juan-Carlos Ruck, executive vice president of North West food/drug and H-E-B real estate, the store was designed with busy families in mind. Ready-to-eat options include tamales, shrimp dishes, chicken meals and other hot foods intended for shoppers seeking convenient dining choices. Ruck said the company expects strong demand from customers looking for meals that can be eaten immediately instead of prepared at home.

The store layout also differs slightly from some recent North Texas locations. In Euless, produce and meat departments are positioned on the right side of the entrance, unlike stores in cities such as Frisco where those sections were placed on the opposite side.

Expansion Continues Across North Texas

H-E-B has steadily increased its footprint in the Dallas-Fort Worth region as competition intensifies among major grocery chains including Kroger, Walmart and Tom Thumb.

The Euless opening follows recent store launches in communities such as Forney, Rockwall and Prosper over the past year. The new location also includes several signature H-E-B features, including a True Texas BBQ restaurant, fuel station, sushi counter, fresh-cut fruit section and the company’s popular in-store tortillas. Customers will also have access to home delivery services.

Ruck said one advantage of the new location is its placement within an already developed retail and residential area, giving the store immediate access to established neighborhoods and shopping traffic.
