Frisco’s dining scene is about to welcome a nationally celebrated name as Slice House, the fast-casual pizza brand founded by world-renowned pizzaiolo Tony Gemignani, prepares to open its first Texas location on Jan. 23, 2026.

The new restaurant will be located at 5995 Preston Road, bringing Gemignani’s award-winning pizza styles to North Texas for the first time. Originally scheduled to open one day later, the debut was moved up due to expected winter weather, with doors now opening at 11 a.m. on Jan. 23.

A Global Pizza Icon Arrives in North Texas

Tony Gemignani is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in modern pizza-making. A 13-time World Pizza Champion, he made history as the first non-Neapolitan to win the prestigious World Pizza Cup in Naples, Italy. He also holds multiple Guinness World Records and operates acclaimed restaurants across the country, including Tony’s Pizza Napoletana and several Slice House locations.

In addition to his restaurants, Gemignani is the author of The Pizza Bible and founder of the International School of Pizza, where chefs from around the world train in traditional and contemporary pizza techniques.

“Bringing Slice House to Frisco is an exciting step for us,” Gemignani said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to partner with Daniel Hawkins and become part of this growing community as we expand across the South.”

What’s on the Menu

Slice House Frisco will serve a wide range of pizza styles, including New York, Sicilian, Grandma-style and Detroit, available by the slice or as full pies. The menu also includes gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options, along with pasta dishes, wings, salads and a curated selection of craft beers and wines.

The restaurant features seating for 30 guests indoors, plus eight additional patio seats. Customers can also order online for takeout or delivery.

Hours and Hiring

The restaurant will operate from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, with extended hours until 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The Frisco location is currently hiring both full- and part-time staff ahead of the opening.

With its Texas debut, Slice House brings world-class pizza craftsmanship to Frisco, adding another high-profile name to the city’s rapidly growing food scene.
