Three Major Developments Set to Transform North Frisco by 2026

Share

North Frisco is entering a pivotal growth phase as three large-scale, fully funded developments move forward with construction and are scheduled to reach major milestones by 2026. Fields West Urban Village, Universal Kids Resort and The Mix are collectively reshaping the area with billions of dollars in private investment and new lifestyle, entertainment and employment opportunities.

Fields West, a $2 billion urban village within the larger $12 billion Fields master-planned community, recently secured a $425 million construction loan to launch its urban core. The first 55-acre phase will feature pedestrian-friendly retail streets, office space, dining, entertainment venues and luxury residential towers, positioning the development as a central hub for North Frisco.

Meanwhile, Universal Kids Resort is under construction on 97 acres along Panther Creek Parkway. Scheduled to open in 2026, the family-focused theme park will include smaller-scale rides, character experiences, themed hotels and attractions designed for younger visitors. City leaders view the resort as a major tourism driver expected to attract visitors from across Texas and beyond.

Adding to the momentum, The Mix development at Preston Road and Lebanon Road began Phase 1 construction in early 2025. Anchored by a 50,000-square-foot Whole Foods Market, the project will deliver walkable retail streets, restaurants and public gathering spaces by late 2026, bringing new shopping and dining options to nearby neighborhoods.

Together, these projects signal a dramatic transformation of North Frisco, redefining how residents live, work and play while reinforcing the city’s role as one of the fastest-growing destinations in North Texas.
